So, the existence of such a week gives us excitement to appreciate and celebrate the presence and contribution of teachers around the world. This year’s teacher appreciation week is going to start on May 2 and will end on May 6. We are going to give a wholesome tour regarding how to celebrate the week.

This year, the Happy National Teacher’s Appreciation Week 2023 is officially celebrated from Monday, May 8 to Friday, May 12, and the Teachers Appreciation Day 2023 is Celebrated on Tuesday, May 2.
History of Teacher Appreciation Week:
“Mattye Whytte Woolridge” was the person responsible for the imitation of this day. She wrote letters to Eleanor Roosevelt to start a day to honor the teacher. Eleanor Roosevelt thought it was a worthy cause to celebrate and due to her effort after 27 years of the year of 1980, National Education Association (NEA) formed the national teacher appreciation week from then onwards.

How to Celebrate Teacher Appreciation Week 2023?
There are plenty of ways you can celebrate the week. Some of the ways that can be followed are as follows-
You can celebrate the week by sending those gifts of diverse types. There is nobody in this world who doesn’t like gifts. You can create customized gifts for your teachers according to their preferences. Or simply choose random gifts and give them on this day. They would surely love to get gifts over the week.
Letter from the students:
Students can write heartfelt letters to their teachers on this day. Teachers did not just help us academically, their contribution impacts our real life as well since they teach us how to deal with many life situations or share their experiences regarding how they dealt with them. So, this week is a good opportunity to let your teachers how much they contributed to your life with raw, vulnerable letters pouring your heart out. This would be a much better gift than any material gift.
Gratitude from the school administration:
School administration can help to celebrate the day by creating funds for teachers’ well-being or rewarding them for their contribution to the school.
Appreciation from the guardian:
Guardians can also visit the school premise on this day and express their homage either through words or awards that deems perfect to them.
Visit old Teachers:
Teachers, who had gotten old and retired, should be visited to know how they are doing. They would love that very much.
